Alcohols in skincare can be confusing as the term alcohol is used to describe many ingredients, some of which are good for your skin, and some of which can be drying or irritating. It's all based on their molecular chain.

We use Cetearyl Alcohol (a good alcohol) which is very different to Ethanol (a type of alcohol you'd like to avoid), even though they are both part of the alcohol family.

Ethanol in skincare is very drying and used a preservative and to enhance a light feeling to moisturisers. On the other hand, cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol emollient, which is very caring and moisturising to the skin. It is also what helps the stick to be a stick :)
